Mrs. Turkey's Picture
Mrs. Turkey, Philadelphia Age and Occupation: 29, Brand Management Fiance's Age and Occupation: 28, Consultant Engagement Date: February 2011 Wedding Date: May 2012 Venue: The Rittenhouse Hotel About Me: I'm a marketer who loves a good glass of wine, anything pumpkin-flavored, every crime drama on TV and, of course, Mr. Turkey. It's funny to say out loud, but we're former coworkers turned betrothed---now planning a wedding in the city of Brotherly Love. For three years, we've been eating our way through Philadelphia, playing tourist at home, and cheering for every sports team in the 215. Although we've hit some unplanned snags along the way, we're determined to have a rocking party this spring with our loud, fun families and friends.
About Mrs. Turkey

Mr. & Mrs. (Continued)

April 23rd, 2012 @ 12:47 pm by Mrs. Turkey

Back in March I said I was going to cool it on my Mr. & Mrs. addiction. Well, I’ve been working hard to kick the habit, but there have been others egging me on.

It started when, a couple weeks ago, I received a package from our save-the-date and invitation designer, Two Paperdolls. I thought perhaps our thank you notes or “day of” materials had come through…and got excited.

A day with a package from Two Paperdolls is a good day!

But what greeted me inside was not at all what I anticipated.

Envelope including a beautiful letterpress card and sweet note from Nicole!

Whatever could be inside? (Side note: she’s reading the blog—how cool!)

Amazing forks that coordinate with our toasting glasses, cake cutter, and server!!

Like Miss Mink, I never imagined that any of our vendors would give us a gift, let alone something so thoughtful and special. We now have these packed away ready to be used on our wedding day! And I had an excuse to use my final (I swear!) Mr. & Mrs. purchase—thank you notes from FINNishes in our wedding colors.

These will likely be used for our special guests’ gifts.

But the Mr. & Mrs. collection continued at the bridal shower and bachelorette (recap coming soon). From packaging…

Fun gift bag—yes, I saved it.

…to some fabulous gifts!

Beach bag with my new name + Mr. & Mrs. luggage tags…and towels!

However, with only weeks to go until the wedding, I suspect it’s now REALLY time to call it quits on my obsession.

We registered for that Kate Spade frame, too! That’s so cute that your vendor sent you a gift.

My mom gave me Mr. & Mrs. forks similar to yours for my bridal shower. I’m also super excited to use them!

I love the Mr and Mrs stuff…but most of all, I LOVE your handwriting. I had to double check and see if maybe it was a font and you had printed it out. Jealous – maybe I’ll start practicing, haha.

I really love Mr. & Mrs. stuff too! It is so much better than “Bride” since after the wedding you can continue to use this stuff!

I have a bit of an obsession with ampersand stuff, but my FH just doesn’t get it…*sigh*

Such wonderful gifts – love that your vendor “got” you by such a perfect gift.

Also wondering where the towels and bag were purchased – so cute!

How sweet and thoughtful of your vendor to do that!!

I’ve got to agree with everyone else, your handwriting is drool worthy. If my invites weren’t already labeled, I would have tried to bribe you into hand addressing them *wink wink* hehe

We have the same exact dresser style set-up, except I have a ring holder where your snowglobe is. I love that KS frame! :)
